‘I’m Grateful’ – Semah, Young Liberian Singer, Tells Liberian Superstar Flavour N’bania

Enugu, Nigeria – Liberia’s Semah G. Weefur who over the weekend thrilled thousands of Nigerian fans says he is grateful to Flavour N’bania for making him to realize his dreams.

“To my dad, I want to say, ‘thank you, thank you, thank you.’ You made me realize my dream”, a Liberian Embassy release from Nigeria quotes the 12-years old kid-star as saying to his Nigerian mentor during a live-musical concert held in Enugu on Saturday night.

Flavour, whose real name is Chinedu Okoli, had organized what was their first live public performance for the first time since their collaboration started few months ago.

Hugging the Nigerian musical icon, Semah added, “My Nigerian people, this is your son who I love as my dad. And a big kiss from your forehead. We love you all”.

Since their ‘divine meeting’ in March of last year, Flavour and Semah have gone on to produce and release five songs, including the popular ‘Most High’. Recently, the pair added ‘All We Need’, ‘No One Like You’, ‘All Power And Glory’ and ‘Unchangeable’.

A total of seven tracks, including the five above and two others, ‘Vindicate’ and ‘Turn By Turn’, now completes an album named ‘DIVINE, Semah Featuring Flavour’, the release continues.

The Liberian Embassy release from Enugu, Southeastern Nigeria says several top-notch Nigerian artists including Tecno, Phyno, Zoro, among others, entertained the fans on the night but it was little Semah’s inspirational appearance that heightened the emotions amongst the thousands of people that showed up for the much publicized Easter Holiday Concert. It was held at the Michael Okpara Square late Saturday night through early Sundaymorning hours, March 31 to April 1, 2018.

Earlier, presenting Semah to his Nigerian audience, Flavour stated, “Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you [Semah of Liberia].”

In response, an eloquent, inspirational Semah said, “I am happy to be in Enugu State with my dad Mr Flavour N’bania. I want to join my dad to say a very big thank you to the organizers and the planners of this unique concert and to those who have travelled from around to world to participate in this unique concert.”

According to the release, Semah earlier recognized the role of his management, “especially Mother Queen Juli Endee”, Liberia’s Cultural Ambassador whose connection of Semah to Flavour remains highly noticed.

Before his joint performance with Flavour on some of their songs, the visually impaired young Liberian singer recognized the Governor and the people of Enugu State.

Semah also used the event to give a special birthday threat to his mother, Mrs. Christina Akele Weefur whose birthday dawned on her during the early morning hours of the concert Sunday April 1, 2018.

Semah’s 13 man-delegation returned to Liberia during the week, following the successful hosting of the concert whose memory would remain buried in the minds of the thousands of fans that literally wept during his performance.
