Monrovia – Former Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) Managing Director T. Nelson William, II has been appointed as senior vice President of Conex petroleum group of companies (CPG).
A press release from the company states that his appointment takes immediate effect.
“The Chairman and Board of Directors of Conex Petroleum Group of Companies are pleased to announce the appointment of T. Nelson William, II as Chief Operating Officer/ senior vice President of Conex petroleum group of companies.
Mr. Williams will be responsible for the profitability and expansion of all Conex petroleum related divisions and will report to the CEO and Chairman of the Board”, the release stated.
Mr. Williams served as managing director at LPRC from 2009 to 2015 and deputy managing Director from 2007- 2009.
During his time at the LPRC, the company revenues increased from US$10.6 million US in 2009 to US$21.4 million in 2014.
As MD of LPRC he also spearheaded the implementation and successful completion of several infrastructural projects, and also increased the petroleum storage facilities in the country.
According to the release, the former LPRC boss in his capacity as chief operating officer/senior Vice President of Conex Petroleum Group of Companies (CPG) will be responsible for the profitability and expansion of all Conex Petroleum related division and will report directly to the CEO and chairman of the board.
Williams holds a master in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University, a post Graduate Diploma in Public and Private Sector Human Resource Management from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from St. Augustine University.
He is currently the Executive Chairman at Integrity Consultancy Incorporated, a management consultancy firm base in Monrovia.
Meanwhile, the company retained the service of Caroline Richards Klark as Conex General Manager for petroleum services.
“CPG is also pleased to announce that Caroline Richards Klarks has been retained to head Conex petroleum services as general manager. She will head the petroleum importation division of CPG,” the release said.
Prior to joining Conex she served in various executive positions at EcoBank Liberia Ltd. including head of commercial banking and head of consumer banking.
The release said, “She brings to Conex a wealth of experience in business development through industry specific strategies and trade finance.
Klarks has a Master degree in finance and Bachelor in Economics and will work in consultation with the senior Vice President of Conex, T. Nelson Williams, in boosting productivity at the petroleum company.
