The delegation, led by Liberia Football Association (LFA) Executive Committee member G. Ivan Brown, will represent the nation at the international tournament, which offers young footballers a vital platform to gain exposure beyond the domestic circuit.

Liberia, a nation working to rebuild its football infrastructure, participation in the Baku event offers emerging talents an opportunity to sharpen their technical abilities, broaden their tactical awareness, and measure themselves against international peers.

Investing in Grassroots Football

LFA officials say the trip underscores the football governing body’s commitment to grassroots development as the foundation for a sustainable national football structure.

Identifying and nurturing young talent remains central to long-term success on the international stage.

Through direct exposure to global competition, the young players are expected to build essential qualities including discipline, tactical maturity, and adaptability to distinct styles of play as they advance through the national team pipeline.

The LFA reiterated its commitment to using youth football as a vehicle for personal growth, athletic discipline, and national pride.

While competitive performance remains a focus the Baku   journey carries equal weight in building character and confidence.

The experience in Baku is expected to provide valuable lessons for the young squad.

As the U-15 delegation steps onto the global stage in Azerbaijan, the task ahead for sports administrators will be ensuring that the international experience translates into structured, continuous development once the team returns home.
