The procurement, announced by Grand Bassa County Superintendent, Karyou Johnson is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen youth engagement, cultural expression, and community participation through music and organized performances.

According to Supt. Johnson, the newly acquired instruments, uniforms, and boots are expected to arrive in the county in the coming weeks.

He said the equipment will significantly improve the performance and appearance of the county marching band during official government functions, national celebrations and other public events.

“The investment demonstrates our commitment to supporting programs that promote cultural pride, youth development, and community involvement,” Supt.  Johnson noted.

Residents and local stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a meaningful investment in the county’s social and cultural development.

Upon arrival, the equipment is expected to provide band members with the resources needed to perform at a higher standard while proudly representing Grand Bassa County at local and national events.

The acquisition forms part of the county administration’s broader development agenda, which seeks to improve public services and support initiatives that positively impact the lives of citizens across Grand Bassa County.
