The suspect identified as Sampson Seton is charged with robbery, aggravated assault and theft of property.

According to police report, the incident occurred on April 20 when the suspect allegedly entered the victim’s home with the intent to steal.

The complainant, Julia T. Munnyemma, said the suspect attempted to take property, but the family intervened, leading to a violent confrontation in which he stabbed her.

During the attack, Munnyemma, two of her children and another person who tried to assist sustained serious injuries to their left hands.

All victims were treated at J.J. Dossen Hospital and later discharged. Police say the suspect fled the scene after the attack.

However, according to earlier reports involving motorbike rider Daniel Nah, the rider later spotted the suspect and alerted police, who monitored his movements until he was arrested.

During investigation, Seton allegedly admitted entering Bishop Hill Community on a motorcycle, which was confirmed by the rider.

He claimed he could not remember what happened afterward. Police have formally charged him and forwarded him to Harper City Central Prison. He is expected to appear before the Harper City Magisterial Court for hearing on Monday April 27, according to Police reports.
