Qatar Fund Supports Over 7,500 Individuals and 25 Institutions with Ramadan Food Aid

The Qatar Fund for Development, through the Embassy of the State of Qatar, has distributed food supplies to vulnerable communities in Liberia in observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The assistance, provided by the Doha-based development agency, was specifically aimed at supporting poor and needy families during Ramadan—a period in which charitable giving holds special religious significance. This humanitarian gesture further reflects the strong and enduring development and humanitarian cooperation between Qatar and Liberia, underscoring the spirit of friendship between the two nations.

More than 7,500 individuals benefited from the distribution, including members of the Liberia Muslim Foundation for Development, Markaz Oubai ibn Ka’b for Quranic Memorization, Iron Factory Central Mosque, Islamic Unity Foundation Centre, Alhaji Souleyman Syllah Foundation Mosque, Gurley Street Central Mosque, and Muslim communities in Cape Mount County, along with fifteen other institutions.

Recipients expressed profound appreciation and joy for the timely support, noting that the assistance significantly eased the burden on families during the sacred month.
