MONROVIA – Third Division teams of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Grand Cape Mount County Sub-Association are poised to resume action next week for the 2025/2026 National League season.

The competition, organized by the LFA Cape Mount Sub-Association, will be contested across three of the county’s districts: Commonwealth, Gawola, and Tewor.
Each district will feature six competing teams.
In an interview with FrontPage Africa, the Head Coach of Ma Kula FC, Charles B. Pabai, disclosed that the league is designed to strengthen grassroots football and provide local clubs the platform to qualify for the national third-division playoffs.
Coach Pabai confirmed that the Commonwealth District will feature Ma Kula FC, Black Star FC, RC Future Star FC, Young Vision FC, Super Star United FC, and Green Eagle FC.
Reflecting on past performances, Pabai noted that Ma Kula FC, based in Robertsport, participated in the 2024/2025 LFA Third Division Playoffs but failed to advance.
However, he expressed strong optimism that his squad will deliver a superior performance in the upcoming season.
According to the head coach, Ma Kula FC has been undergoing rigorous preparations, including a series of friendly matches against other local third-division sides.
He praised the discipline and work ethic of his players both on and off the pitch.
“I am grateful to my athletes for taking the team to the playoff stage last season, but I must be honest we did not meet expectations during the playoffs, which led to our early exit,” Coach Pabai admitted. “I have made it clear to my technical staff and players that our primary target for the 2025/2026 season is to return to the playoffs and, this time, secure a better result.”
The coach emphasized that consistent victories and high standards of sportsmanship are the only paths to achieving the club’s objectives.
“Without discipline and good sportsmanship, we will not be able to achieve the results we want,” he added.
Coach Pabai further extended his appreciation to Ma Kula FC’s Chief Executive Officer, Madam Kula Fofana, along with the team’s supporters and sympathizers, for their unwavering commitment.
He expressed hope that continued support from the community will help the club realize its long-term ambition: gaining promotion to the LFA Second Division.
