In a formal communication dated September 23, 2025, the Bong County District Seven lawmaker reported that the approximately 45-kilometer road linking Totota to Sanoyea Town is in a “deplorable” state and continues to worsen as the rainy season deepens.
Rep. Fahnbulleh warned that without prompt government action, Sanoyea District risks being cut off from the rest of the country, creating severe hardships for commuters and residents who depend on the route for transportation, trade, and access to services.
The lawmaker is requesting that the Ministry of Public Works assign road equipment and engineers to carry out immediate interventions on the corridor. Rep. Fahnbulleh committed to providing fuel for the machinery and stipends for the engineers during the period of work.
The Totota–Sanoyea road is a major transport link for Lower Bong County. Local communities have repeatedly raised concerns about its poor condition, especially during the rainy season when mobility becomes difficult or impossible in certain areas.
Rep. Fahnbulleh expressed hope that the ministry will respond swiftly to prevent further isolation of the district.
