
DUAZON, Margibi County—Authorities of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) in Margibi County have arrested a man following the discovery and seizure of 45 kilograms of compressed marijuana with a street value estimated at US$3,420 (LD$649,800).

The LDEA Margibi County Detachment confirmed that the arrest was made on Wednesday, September 17,2025 during a search operation carried out at the suspect’s residence in the Duazon Rock Crusher Community, Lower Margibi County.
The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Creem Abess Brown, was apprehended by a team of LDEA agents led by Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Alex S. Flomo. The operation was conducted under the authority of a search and seizure warrant issued by the Roberts International Airport (RIA) Magisterial Court.
According to the LDEA, following a preliminary investigation, suspect Brown was formally charged with the unlicensed possession, sale, and distribution of a controlled narcotic substance—offenses in violation of Sections 14.85 and 14.89 of the Penal Law of Liberia.
He has been forwarded to the Bondiway Magisterial Court and subsequently remanded at the Bondiway Prison pending trial.
Speaking to FrontPage Africa (FPA), OIC Flomo emphasized the agency’s commitment to combating drug-related crimes in the county.
“We remain vigilant in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in drug trafficking,” Flomo stated.
His added, “This arrest sends a clear message that illegal drug activities will not be tolerated in Margibi County.”
The Margibi County LDEA’s boss further noted that under his leadership, the LDEA remains dedicated to upholding the law and protecting communities from the harmful impact of drugs, reinforcing the agency’s zero-tolerance stance on narcotics.
