Liberia: Manden FC Begins Preparations for 2025/2026 LFA National League

Sheriff explained that the Bushrod Island-based team, located in the Jamaica Road community, is preparing for the LFA Logan Town Sub-Committee League, the platform for their third-division campaign.

He said the team began training three weeks ago to ensure their players are prepared for the challenge ahead.

The club has given head coach Prince Teah the mandate to arrange a series of friendly matches against third- and second-division teams.

The president stressed that player selection for the national league must be based on performance and merit, not personal relationships.

“We as officials of Manden FC have made it clear that none of us will interfere with Coach Teah’s selection process.”

“We want players chosen based on merit because our goal is to reach the third division playoffs.”

Sheriff also called on parents of registered players to support the club by ensuring their children balance academics and sports.

“We want our players to focus on both their classroom education and football training,” he added.

“Parents must ensure that their children attend school before committing to training because education is just as important as their football development.”

Manden FC now joins several community-based clubs across Monrovia preparing for the kickoff of the 2025/2026 third-division season, with hopes of making a strong push toward promotion to the second division.
