IBRAHIM BABANGIDA HIGHWAY – Bea Mountain Mining Corporation has confirmed that one of its trucks was involved in a serious road accident along the Ibrahim Banbagada Highway, prompting a police investigation and expressions of sympathy from the company to the victims’ families.
In a statement issued Thursday, the company said the truck was transporting supplies to its operational site when it allegedly collided with another vehicle. While official details remain scarce, unconfirmed reports suggest the crash may have resulted in fatalities.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Bea Mountain said it dispatched an emergency response team to the scene to administer first aid and provide immediate support.
“We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to those affected,” the company said in its statement.
The Liberia National Police has since launched a formal investigation. Bea Mountain said it is cooperating fully and is committed to a “thorough, fair, and transparent inquiry.”
The company also noted that it has made contact with some relatives of individuals involved and pledged to share further updates as more information becomes available.
