Sources close to the club confirm that Doe is expected to join Fassell FC for pre-season training in June. The technical staff will assess the veteran striker’s fitness and form before making a final decision on whether to offer him a contract.
The potential addition of Doe is viewed as a strategic move by the club’s leadership to strengthen their squad with experience and proven quality as they step onto Africa’s premier club football stage.
With an extensive career that has taken him across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, Doe’s presence could provide the club with leadership, tactical insight, and a clinical edge in front of goal.
Doe rose to prominence with Tonnerre Yaoundé in Cameroon, where he was named the best foreign player and led the club to the CAF Cup Final. He later played for Egyptian giants Al Ahly, followed by stints in the United States with New York Red Bulls, D.C. United, and Minnesota Thunder.
His European experience includes a spell in Greece with Atromitos, while in Asia he made a name for himself in Malaysia with clubs such as Terengganu, Selangor FA, and Kelantan FA.
Doe has also been a consistent presence for the Liberia national team, earning 22 caps and scoring five goals during his international career. His goals came in key fixtures, including qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA World Cup.
His goal-scoring record includes strikes against Rwanda, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Senegal, and Tunisia in high-stakes matches—showcasing his ability to perform under pressure.
Fassell FC’s interest in Doe underscores their intent to build a squad capable of competing on the continental stage. The CAF Champions League demands experience and composure, qualities Doe brings from years of playing in competitive environments.
If the deal is finalized, Doe’s presence would not only bolster the club’s attacking options but also serve as a morale booster for a team looking to make history.
