Monrovia – The President of the Republic of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister-Designate of Canada, the Honorable Mark Carney, on his historic election as Prime Minister of the Republic of Canada.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, conveyed his warmest congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister-Designate Carney as he prepares to assume the mantle of leadership.
President Boakai expressed confidence that under Mr. Carney’s stewardship, Canada will continue to flourish in peace, unity, and prosperity. He also reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation with Canada in areas of mutual interest.
“I look forward to working with you in advancing our shared values of democracy, development, and global peace,” President Boakai said in his message.
The Liberian leader emphasized the importance of continued partnership and solidarity between both nations as they navigate complex global challenges and pursue inclusive growth and sustainable development.
