Monrovia-Liberian Striker Sylvanus Nimely has been presented named the Uzbekistan super League’s Player of the Month for November.

The Surkhon Termez forward who has been in a spectacular form during the 2022/2023 season player of the month was his first since moving to the Uzbekistan league, the award was determined following a combination of votes from the public, a Panel of Experts coaches and captains.
During the month of November, the former Monrovia Club Breweries attacker score two goal and assisted two for his club.
The gifted Liberia forward got injured in October but bounced back on a firing form as he helped his team collected two wins in three games.
Nimely made his return from injury in the Uzbekistan Super League against Pakhtakor and wasted no time in putting his name on the scoresheet. Nimely, had not played since he suffered a knock during training just before the international break in October and was ruled out of Liberia’s double-header clash with Malawi and Equatorial Guinea.
He however made the perfect return his team wanted with a goal. The striker was among the 23 players named in coach Ansumana Keita’s team for both games at home and accepted the invitation, but unfortunately, he missed Liberia’s World Cup qualifiers on November 17th and 20th at the Samuel Kanyon Sports Complex due to injury.
Nimely contributed ,18 goals during his first season in the league scoring 12 and assisting six in helping his clubs achieve six spot out of fourteen teams in the Uzbekistani Super league.
Sylvanus was also named in the team of the season his first since moving to Europe.

To receive Personal awards is great, but it’s all about the team work.
‘We fought hard for the title, though it they not work, but it was a great season and I am hoping to do more for my club next season,’

Nimely was consistent in the league showing his top form making name for himself in Uzbekistan. The former Monrovia Club Breweries and Sparta Moscow forward ended the league as third-leading scorer in the 2023 Uzbekistan Super League.
Reflecting on his goal after returning from injury, the 24-year-old stated, “It w that it was a good day for his team but he was happy getting on the scoresheet once more.
“We are fighting to end the league in a good position. We have another important game coming up this week, but I don’t intend to slow down. I am always eager to improve and keep pushing myself,” Nimely added
