Mr. Golee told FrontPage Africa that Klimeh’s passing is a setback because he was one of the long-serving and active members of the LNTTA. He explained that the association was shocked by the news of Klimeh’s death, as they were unaware of his illness.
Mr. Golee revealed that Klimeh had participated in the ITTF online Sports for All international training and had attended a session on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. That was the last time he saw him, and the next news he received was about Klimeh’s death.
“Klimeh died after he fell while on his way home. He was quickly taken to the JFK Hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” Golee said.
“His death is a great loss to us as members of the LNTTA. He was one of the longest-serving and active members of our association.”
According to Mr. Golee, the late Klimeh was an active tennis veteran who always supported improving the skills of youth passionate about the game through training. They had never heard anything about him being sick, making his death very surprising.
Last Friday, June 7, 2024, officials of the LNTTA visited Klimeh’s home to sympathize with his bereaved family. They assured the family of their readiness to work hand-in-hand with them until Klimeh is buried.
