The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has suspended referee Anthony Momo and four match commissioners from officiating for lack of data in the competitions management system (CMS).
The commissioners include Wlatee Williams, Jeremiah Saysay, Faustinus Doe and Wakie James Sulonteh.
Momo, a Class ‘A’ referee, reported that Shaita FC’s Philip Manneh received a direct red card instead of two yellow cards during their match with Wologisi FC at the George Weah technical center in Careysburg on 24 October.
Commissioner Wlatee didn’t have any record of the match when Shaita challenged Momo’s straight red-card given to Manneh.
Commissioner Saysay didn’t have any record when Heaven Eleven (HE) protested their 6-3 defeat to Mighty Barrolle at the Doris Williams Stadium in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County on 22 October.
FIFA-badged Hassan Corneh was also suspended for reporting that the Orange first division match ended 6-2 instead of 6-3.
Corneh excluded HE’s Fred Livingstone, who was one of the scorers, thereby reducing Fred’s goals on the scoring chart and the club’s position on the table.
Commissioner Doe didn’t report on the basic regulatory data, including cards and goals, during an Orange first division match between NPA Anchors and Freeport FC at Tusa field on 22 October
Class ‘A’ referee Morris Allison was also suspended for reporting that NPA’s Daniel Weah received a red card in the 49th minute instead of Christian Gbalar in the 49th minute.
Commissioner Sulonteh also didn’t record details from the Orange first division match between FC Kallon and LISCR FC at the Samuel Kanyon Doe sports complex practice pitch on 19 October.
Class ‘A’ referee Kofa Doe was suspended for reporting that Kallon’s Jessie Francis received a direct red card instead of two yellow cards in the 49th and 81st minutes.
The wrong data, which have been corrected, impacted the standings and suspensions of the players in the CMS.
The referees and commissioners are barred from officiating for three rounds.
