Monrovia- The Momo Community League match-day two will resume this weekend following an entertaining round one which provided 23 goals across Montserrado County.

The opening of the maiden edition of the tournament began last Saturday, May 11 at the Barnesville Estate field, with some exciting side attractions including parade and speeches. The opener was graced by Liberia Football Association acting president Sekou Konneh including staffers from the sponsor, Lonestarcell MTN.
However, fans will return to four different venues across the county to watch the youngster individual performances and collective display from the participating teams in actions in these eight matches.
Dixville U-17 vs Chicken Factory
Dixville U-17 failed to establish their brilliant display in their opener fixture against hosts Barnesville U-17. The visitors suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against the home side in what was described as a pulsating encounter. However, they must overcome Group A leader, Chicken Factory who plays a an attacking football to secure 3-1 over Jacob’s Town U-17 in the 2:00PM match to stand a chance in the group at the Jacob Town Field.
Barnesville U-17 Jacob’s Town-17
In another encounter in the group, second place Barnesville will be hoping to cause most misery for Jacob Town U-17 in the 4:00PM fixture. But the fixture is set to be a tricky one. Despite Barnesville being the home side, the match will be played at the Jacob’s Town field which might give them an advantage to get some points following a dreadful result in the opener match.
Zone B
PHP Community U-17 vs Clay Street U-17
PHP Community U-17 must still reel from an opening day defeat to West Point, but the Community Boys must not be underestimated against their neighbors, Clay Street who inflicted a narrow victory on the Freeport U-17. But the away side will optimistic to maintain a100 percent winning form to ensure safety in the Group B in the 2:00 PM fixture at the Battery Factory Field.
Freeport U-17 vs West Point (4:00PM)
All is not lost for Freeport U-17 as they need to recover from the match day one result and put up a stronger performance against West Point who produced a perfect display in the opening match as they beat PHP Community 2-0. Their dominant performance was eye-catching and they put on a the right attitude to provide such a result.
Zone C
Brewerville U-17 vs Logan Town- U-17
Both sides were on the wrong end of a chastening results following their match day one defeats to New Kru U-17 and ST. Paul U-17 respectively. And either side will be hoping to turn things around to get the right result possible or face elimination from the tournament which could see the champions taking home LD $300,000. However, beginning the match at 2:00PM at D. Twe Field could be a determined factor between the leaders and second place team in the group.
ST. Paul vs West Point (4:00PM)
Despite the match result between Brewerville and Logan Town might be pivotal but ST. Paul and West Point will be contentious as they could want to maintain their unbeaten start to the tournament. Both communities have electrifying supporters not too far from each other. But as the newly constructed D. Twe field seen to be associated with massive crowd, it might just be an interesting place for the sponsor to do more business while enjoying the encounter.
Zone D.
R-2 U-17 is going to the game with remarkable 4-0 demolition of VOA U-17 from the opening match. However, they need to show that they can continue their fine form against their neighbors Gbarnba U-17 who was held to a 1-1 draw against King Gray. With the match at the ‘Right to Play’ field, it promises to be a tough match as both sides are far from their comfort zone in the 2:00PM fixture.
King Gray vs VOA
This match sees to find a perfect draw for King Gray to secure all three points. They will have massive turnout from their supporters who are few blocks away from the field on Saturday in the 4:00PM. Despite that, VOA might be eager to show what they can do and get something tangible from the match after an embarrassing defeat on match-day one.
