Monrovia- Global Pharma FC, Mighty Barrolle and LISCR FC secure crucial wins, as Nimba Kwado stun Watanga to a second-half draw in the Liberia Football Association first division league.

Newly promoted Liberia Football Association first division outfit Global Pharma FC secured its first back-to-back wins of the season as they beat Invincible Eleven (IE) 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in central Monrovia.
Randy Dukuly scored his first goal of the season while Nicolas Blapoh and Amadiah Kawah netted a goal each to give Keatu Smith’s boys all three points.
The Pharmacists started the game very aggressive as they came close to score after 20 seconds of the match but Menjestu Klarry shot traveled an inch from goal.
IE later had some impressive moments but their attackers were unable to break the defense of Global Pharma FC.
The yellow boys captain Elijah Clark fought to put his team ahead on three occasions but was denied twice and his close range effort was deflected for corner kick.
Randy Dukuly open the scoring for the Pharmacists in the 20th minute with a fast touch on a delicious cross from James Richardson while Nicolas Blapoh double Global lead on 34 minutes to end the first half 2-0 to the Pharmacists.
After the break Global Pharma put the game to bed with a solo drive from Amadiah Kawah who place the ball far from IE keeper.
IE later brought in former LFA MVP Fred Brooks who tried to controlled the game but could not prevent his side from going down 3-0.
The pharmacists who gain promotion to the first league at the end of last season as champions of the Second Division have struggled for wins but got their first win over Cece United on Wednesday with a narrow 1-0 win and made it two straight wins on Sunday against IE who defeated Freeport FC 3-1 on Wednesday.
Sunday’s result move Global Pharma up the table from 10th place to 8th place with 9 points from seven matches while IE drop from 9th place to 12th place in the relegation zone with 6 points from seven games.
Mighty Barrolle vs Heaven Eleven
Mighty Barrolle thrashed high flying Heaven Eleven 6-3 in Buchanan City Grand Bassa County at the Dorris Williams sports stadium.
Heaven Eleven went into to the match following their impressive form in the league and were hoping to continue same but the “Rollers” prove to be too strong for the “Messengers” who topped the league table for four weeks running.
Barrolle now move to 2nd place on the table with 14 points from seven games while Heaven Eleven drop to 3rd place on 13 points from similar games played.
LISCFR FC vs LPRC Oilers
Champions LISCR FC ended LPRC Oilers undefeated run in the League as the “Shipping Boy” beat the Oil boys 1-0 in an intensive match at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville.
Prior to Sunday’s encounter LPRC went six games undefeated winning two and drawing four and were hoping to extend their unbeaten run but the champions proved why they are triple champions of Liberia.
Last season top goal scorer Christopher Jackson score the game only goal to break Oilers record.
LISCR however move at the top of the table with 16 points from seven matches while LPRC remain 7th place with 10 points from seven games.
Watanga vs Nimba Kwado
The highlight of the weekend was the game involving Watanga FC and Nimba. The boys from Nimba County fought their way back to secured a point away from home.
Watanga FC took complete control of the match in the 40th minute after Tamba Gbollie found the back of the net.
However, Boakai Balo stunned Watanga FC with a 90 + 1-minute goal to rescued a point for Nimba Kwado.
The result puts Watanga at 5th place while with 11 points while Kwado is at 10th place with seven points.
Paynesville FC vs Cece United
Paynesville FC hope of ending the league with a trophy continues as they handed United their sixth defeats of the season following a 1-0 victory.
Cece United who has secured only a win in seven games suffered their second successive 1-0 defeat to keep them in the relegation zone at 13th place with three points while Paynesville FC move to 4th place with 12 points.
Bea Mountain vs FC Kallon –Liberia
Bea Mountain sealed a 2-1 victory over FC Kallon Liberia in the late kickoff at the ATS with William Freeman and Ishmael Dumbouya getting their goals in the 3rd and 10th minute of the match respectively.
FC Kallon –Liberia fought their way back in the match and got a consolation goal through their striker Mark Yallah as the entertaining match ended 2-1 to the” Gold Boys” of Bea Mountain
Bea Mountain who went undefeated last season but missed out on the title for the first time this season won back to back games to put them 6th place with 11 points while FC Kallon –Liberia is at 11th place with seven points.
Freeport FC vs NPA Anchors
In a match both teams saw red cards nine men Freeport FC defeated NPA Anchors 1-0 at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville.
Patrick Dweh got the match only goal in the 63rd minute of the match to give his side Freeport FC all three points.
Sunday’s result put the Go Green Boys of Freeport FC to 9th place with eight points while NPA Anchors is at the bottom of the table with two points.
