Monrovia – After experiencing bad roads in the hinterland during the last days of his campaign trail, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) standard bearer Senator George Weah promised among many other things, to make available good roads when he is elected President.

Weah, his wife Clar Weah who arrived from the United States of America late Sunday evening for his 51st birthday, and Vice Standard bearer Jewell Howard-Taylor were seen on live video via social media in the hinterland traveling through deplorable roads to get across to voters in order to solicit votes for the October 10, polls.
At the early hours of the day (Friday), with a huge down pour of rain the Antoinette Tubman Stadium was seen virtually empty but the place soon began to turn into a tsunami of humans when supporters of CDC trooped in the streets to express their loyalty to their Standard Bearer.
Addressing his supporters during the climax of his campaign at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium a few hours after returning from Greenville, Sinoe County; Weah told his supporters that Liberia can only get better under his leadership.
“The government that we seek will be the government that will bring about good roads, interconnected roads”, the CDC Standard Bearer disclosed.
Weah added: “I went to the hinterland when my friend was flying a helicopter, I drove on those roads. The roads are bad. Liberia is 170 years old but Liberia cannot be worse with a George Weah. Liberia can only get better with a George Weah government.”
Despite 12 years of Unity Party stewardship, roads still remain a major problem in the country thereby causing many activities in the rural areas to remain dormant.
For Liberia to get better the CDC strong man called on Liberians to embrace the change added that it is inevitable.
He said: “We must change the Unity Party-led government. Let us not be afraid of change because it is the only way our country can be better. This is our time and we must protect our future generation.”
Weah told supporters of the Unity party that Joseph Boakai has done nothing for the people of Liberia for the past 12 years.
He continues: “All the bad laws in this country against our people Joseph Baokai signed those documents.”
“I say to you on October 10, vote George Weah for you to gain hope, for our country to have good roads, for our nurses to be paid, for our military to have logistics, for our Police to have logistics and for prices to be low.”
