Monrovia – The former president of the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC), Rev. Kortu Brown, has asked President George Weah to shake up his cabinet, especially the government agency responsible for the rice crisis.

Gbarnga, Bong County – With support from ForumCiv Liberia, the Community Solutions Aid (CSAID) has ended the celebrations of the International Day of Democracy in Bong County. The celebrations, according to the Executive Director of (CSAID), Peter N. Dolo, come in the wake of the United Nations (UN) recognition of September 15 as International Day of Democracy through its 2007 General Assembly with the intent of promoting and upholding the principles of Democracy while calling on all member states and organizations to celebrate the day in a suitable style that contributes to raising public awareness.
MARGIBI COUNTY – Senator Emmanuel Nuquay has made it clear he’s not into a proxy political fight with anyone in Margibi County and wants those seeking elective positions in 2023 to focus on their campaign rather than attacking him. The Margibi county senator noted that people are falling at odds with him for his development initiatives across the county, something they see as factors that would outshine their political relevance to the people.

Rep. Cole, a member of the National Patriotic Party, a constituent party of the three-party collaboration that includes the Congress for Democratic Change and the Liberia People Democratic Party, has been reportedly dissatisfied with ongoing internal party differences in the county.
