The Sapo National Park is Liberia’s oldest protected area wherein competing activities in areas contiguous to its boundary are generating negative environmental and social impacts.

MONROVIA – The Board of Directors of the Liberian Bank for Development & Investment (LBDI) has appointed Mr. Christian N. Allison, II, as the bank’s new CEO, effective July 1, 2023. Mr. Allison comes to the LBDI with a unique perspective after working as a financial services regulator and risk management professional at the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) for more than 21 years.

MONROVIA – Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, has been successful in his negotiations with the Indian government to begin issuing visas in Liberia. These negotiations took place through the Embassy of India in Liberia. A significant weight has been lifted off the shoulders of the people of Liberia as a result of this action.

MONROVIA – The USAID Liberia Civil Society Activity (CSA) on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, distributed nearly US$1.5 million in grants to 18 organizations to strengthen citizens’ ability to advocate for policy reforms in the education, health, and local governance sectors.
