YEKEPA, Nimba County – ArcelorMittal Liberia has announced that it has finalized the Detailed Feasibility Study (DFS) that was being carried out in order to identify the optimal solution for utilising the resources at Tokadeh and its other deposits. MONROVIA – The government of Liberia, through the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, has signed a fisheries research Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Monrovia. The MOU entails fisheries independent stock assessment using a fisheries research vessel named Dr. Firdtjof Nansen, for the enhancement of small scales fisheries and capacity building. Monrovia – A contingent of the Armed Forces of Liberia is expected to be deployed in Mali as part of the ongoing United Nation Peacekeeping Mission in that West African State. The troops to be deployed have completed pre-deployment training at the Camp Sande Ware Barracks located in Careysburg, that have prepared them for any circumstances that they may encounter while on the mission in Mali.
