Sekajipo MONROVIA – The Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC) has levied a US$10,000 (Ten Thousand United States Dollars) fine against the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) for failing to comply with Terms and Conditions under the various licenses issued the Corporation despite repeated notices and deadlines from the Commission. The fine against the Corporation is to be paid into LERC’s account no later than 10 September 2021.

Monrovia – TipMe Liberia signed a service agreement with OYA Microcredit, a fintech company that specializes in small business loans. This new addition allows TipMe customers to access microcredit facilities from OYA Microcredit across all lending zones in Montserrado.

Monrovia – On Tuesday, August 31, The United States Agency for International Development Liberia Mission Director Jim Wright visited the Ministry of Agriculture where he discussed continued United States support for the agriculture sector.  Wright said, “Liberia is blessed with abundant fertile land, rainfall, and water resources that are critical to productivity in the agriculture sector.”  He added that the United States is committed to helping the Ministry fully use these resources to make “agriculture an engine of economic growth and job creation” for the Liberian people.
