MONROVIA – The Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) will begin introducing the new Liberian dollar currency starting with the 100 Liberian dollar banknote in the tune of four billion Liberian dollars this December 2021. This amount is intended to increase Liberian dollar liquidity in the economy during the festive season. A second consignment of four billion Liberian dollars of the new family of L$100 banknote will be brought into the country during the 1st Quarter of 2022 to commence the gradual replacement of mutilated banknotes.

Monrovia – A consortium led by CERATH Development Organization on the 28th of October 2021 officially launched the Cassava Transformation Project (CASTRAP), at the Corina Hotel in Monrovia. CASTRAP is the Liberia national component of the West Africa Competitiveness Programme (WACOMP) funded by the European Union, under the 11th European Development Funds.
