MONROVIA – The Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Liberia Maritime Authority, Eugene Lenn Nagbe, has resigned from the post despite having two years remaining in his tenure.

MONROVIA – The National Legislature has acquired new leadership characterized by a diversity that divides political control over the lower and upper houses. The outgoing party, Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), took hold of the House of Representatives by winning both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker positions, in addition to having the majority members there. In the Senate, Unity Party-backed Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence secured the President Pro-Tempore position on a white ballot.

Monrovia – The Supreme Court has scheduled Tuesday, January 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. to entertain legal arguments in a petition for the writ of prohibition filed by the Unity Party against Cllr. Frank Musa Dean, Jr., the President Nominee for the Office of Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia.

Monrovia – President George Weah has nominated Samora P.Z. Wolokolie as the new Commissioner General of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA). The appointment, made late last year, is now pending confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate, in accordance with the 1986 Liberian Constitution.
