Monrovia – Young Liberian striker Leon Sullivan Taylor has won the top scorer award in the Brunei Super League One. The Brunei Super League One is one of the most competitive leagues in Southeastern Asia. The promising Liberian striker, who has been performing exceptionally well in the Asian top league, continues his goal-scoring dominance for the past two seasons. Leon’s fascinating goal-scoring form has helped his club, Indera SC, finish second on the just-ended league table.
With exceptional game detection, vision, and physical abilities, Taylor scored twenty-nine goals from sixteen games to clinch the league’s top goal-scorer award. A very consistent and reliable striker, the Liberian star scored thirty-one goals last season, also winning the top scorer award.
“I am very happy to continue my good form and promise to do more,” he added. Leon, who has not featured for the senior national team of Liberia but is showcasing his talent on the global stage, is hopeful of making his presence felt on the bigger footballing stage.
Following a senior national team goal drought and poor performances over the period, Leon’s subsequent call to the national team could be a boost and an added advantage based on his clinical scoring ability and versatile role on his club duty over the last few years.
