Monrovia- Winners Incorporated, Liberia’s leading betting company, awarded cash prizes of four million, eight hundred thousand Liberian dollars (L$4,800,000) to champions, runners-up, third-place achievers and individuals and an additional Two hundred thousand (L$200,000) for the tournament’s operation to the MOYS for the National County Sports Meet (NCSM) for the 2023/2024.

The company’s Operations manager, Abraham K. Kollon representing the President of Winners Inc. Mr Yacob Batshon reaffirmed Winners Inc. commitment in promoting sports and fostering a culture of excellence in Liberia as they honored the outstanding achievements of participants in the just-ended national county sports meet.
Before the tournament kick-started, the sports betting giant, pledged to provide cash prizes for the champions, runners, and thirds winners in the football and kickball categories of the NCSM. Additionally, promised a whopping amount for individuals awards.
The Company, in fulfillment of its commitment to the organizers, counties and players, distributed the cash prizes of LRD $4.8million at head office on Broad Street.
Categorically, Rivergee, who won 4-1 on penalties shoot-out against Lofa, took home a whopping cash prize of Two million (LD$ 2,000,000) after emerging as Champions of the 2023-2024 tournament.
The next to receive a mega cash prize was Lofa. They received the amount of One million (LD$1,000,000) for finishing as runners-up, while Nimba County who finished in the third-place received five hundred thousand (LD$500,000)
Rivergee’s forward, Daniel Toe who won the Most Valuable Player in the tournament was presented L$250,000, Blamo Weah, top scorer, was provided L$200,000 while Jusu Dukuly received L$100,000 as the best defender and River Gee coach Daniel Sasley got one hundred thousand L$100,000 as Best Coach.
However, in the Kickball category, Champions Rivercess County was awarded L$300,000, while runners-up Nimba County earned L$100,000 and third-place Lofa was provided L$50,000.
Addressing further, Kollon emphasized that they have played a pivotal role in the success of the NCSM year after year through sponsorship and contributions.
According to him, throughout the tournament, they have witnessed the dedication, passion, and resilience displayed by athletes, stressing that their tireless efforts embody the spirit of sportsmanship and serve as a source of inspiration.
Said Kollon, “At Winners Inc, we believe in the transformative power of sports. Beyond the thrill of competition, sports have the unique ability to unite communities, instill discipline, and nurture talent.”

Also speaking at the presentation ceremony, Youth and Sports Minister, Cllr Jeror Cole Bangalu praised Winners Inc. for living up to her commitment by providing the cash awards.
According to him, the company has brought in a new flavor to the NCSM in Liberia, stressing that the MYS appreciates such gestures.
Said Minister Bangalu, “Winners, what you have done, you have introduced a new dynamism into our game. What you are doing we appreciate it.”
He added, “Today, it is Winners Incorporated day, you have won our heart. The Ministry of Youth and Sports will continue to work with you.”
Minister Cole also used the occasion to congratulate the various champions, stating that success does not come in sudden flights but through hard work.
