Liberia Telecommunications Network Explains Today’s Internet Interruption

MONROVIA — The Liberia Telecommunications Authority(LTA) announces the temporary interruption of all nationwide Internet services due to the breakdown of the Africa Coast to Europe Cable in Ivory Coast.

The ACE Cable, which serves as the sole source of internet connectivity between Europe and Liberia, passes through Ivory Coast. The LTA assures the public that efforts are underway to restore service gradually.

We want to clarify that this interruption is not attributed to your Mobile Network Provider. Instead, it is a result of the ACE Cable’s technical issues.

The Cable Consortium of Liberia (CCL) is actively collaborating with its Ivorian counterpart to expedite the full restoration of Internet services.

The LTA appreciates the public’s understanding during this temporary inconvenience and will provide further updates as progress is made in resolving the issue.
