Monrovia – Looking to foster understanding of life’s blueprint through moral courage, Leila Vennetta hopes that the She’s The Way Summit planned for Friday, November 15, will help young girls and women embrace internal beauty while finding values in tradition, and creating a path toward global sisterhood.
Under the theme, “How Did You Become the Woman You Are Today”, Hawa Flomo, Director of the MacDella Cooper Foundation, which is co-sponsoring the event, says the summit is dedicated to bridging the gap between vulnerable young women who are trying to find their path and influential female mentor who are leading the way. “We are especially excited about this year’s “She’s the Way Summit” because we have hundreds of young women who will finally have the opportunity to meet women who they have admired but have never had the chance to be in the same space with them,” Flomo says.
At the summit, she says participating young women will get the chance to meet potential mentor and hear the stories of their journey and learn what role, if any, Religion, Culture, Tradition, Education, Gender, Beauty, Career, and Family have played along the journey of women who have made it to the top.”
The Director says the MacDella Cooper Foundation strongly believes that young girls need mentors and positive role models. “A young woman needs a female mentor. This is why we are sponsoring this Summit. All successful women carry a certain blueprint that every young women need access to.”
