21-yr-Old Woman Stabs Friend At Monrovia’s Infamous Bar

Monrovia – A 21-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assaulted for stabbing her friend at the Old Folks bar in the Airfield community.

According to Police charge sheet, On September 27, 2016 at 11:00pm defendant Wilson Princess was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in violation Section 14.20 of the Revised Penal Law of Liberia.

Complainant Rita Nelson said she was at Old Folks Entertainment Center on Airfield where Princess began to insult her.

“Due to the continued insults rendered to me, I started insulting her too and she jumped on me to fight at which time she used a broken bottle and stabbed me several times on my body and I became helpless.”

The Police charge sheet revealed that the defendant furthered admitted to the crime and stabbing the victim several times with broken bottle.

The defendant said that the victim was the first to insult and assault her with a bottle.

Investigators of the Liberia National Police established that the victim was stabbed under her right arm, head, back and stomach.

Further, the investigation established that the defendant had previously threatened to harm the victim before the date of the incident.

Defendant Wilson has two court terms to be adjudged. If not, she will be set free.

If found guilty, she faces three to five years in prison as aggravated assault, a bailable offense, is a third degree felony under the law.
