Liberia: President Weah in Brazzaville to Cheer Lone Star

Monrovia – The Liberian Football Association (LFA) has confirmed that President George Manneh Weah is in Brazzaville, Congo, to witness the Lone Star match with the host country.

According to a Facebook post from the LFA, President Weah, who is the Chief Patron of Sports, and delegation arrived in Brazzaville late Wednesday evening and will be on the field later today to cheer his boys up to victory against the boys of his Congolese counterpart, Mr. Denis Sassou Nguesso.

The football house has described the Chief Patron of Sports’ arrival in Brazzaville as a big boost to the Red, White and Blue boys.

George Weah led the famous ‘George Weah 11’ which won many victories for Liberia

When the President actively plied his career as a footballer in Europe and as where, he and his famous ‘George Weah 11’ won many victories for Liberia.

It is reported that the mood in the Lone Star camp is high as all of the players are hopeful of win on today away from home.

Liberia is guest of Congo in a Group G match of the Afcon 2019 Qualifier and game will come on at @ 2:30pm Liberian time.
