Liberia: When Young People Encounter God: Rainbow Global Conference Ignites a New Generation of Intercessors and Kingdom Influencers

MONROVIA, LIBERIA — Hundreds of young people from Monrovia and surrounding communities gathered at the Liberty Christian Centre in Gardnersville from August 13–15, 2026 for the ninth edition of the Rainbow Global Conference, a three-day spiritual gathering held under the theme:, “The Manifestation of His Power.”

The conference brought together young people from different churches, ministries, communities, and backgrounds, creating an atmosphere of worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

From the opening session through the closing prayer, participants described the gathering as more than a conference – it was an encounter that challenged young people to deepen their relationship with God and discover their role in advancing His Kingdom.

The three-day event featured guest ministers including Apostle Dr. Simeon L. Dunbar, Pastor Alfred Mayson, Evangelist Joshua O. Richards, Minister Jesse Pratt, Minister Richard Queh and Minister Covenant Buck.

Worship and prayer remained at the heart of the conference, with participants testifying to spiritual renewal, lives being touched and a renewed commitment to serving God.

One of the memorable moments came during a powerful worship session led by Minister Jesse Pratt, which participants said transformed the atmosphere and opened hearts to a deeper spiritual experience.

Young People Share Their Encounters

For many participants, the conference was not simply about attending services but about personal reflection, learnin and spiritual growth.

Michael Pumbudoo Jr., reflecting on his experience on Facebook, said the conference featured powerful teachings, deep revelations and memorable moments that challenged young people to understand what it means to “reign as a king in youth.”

Another participant, Jacob Dartoe, highlighted the conference’s prayer sessions, describing the gathering as a powerful demonstration of God’s presence among young people.

Dartoe expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the conference and particularly recognized Promise Fernandez, founder of Rainbow Global, for his commitment to advancing the Christian faith among the younger generation.

For Robert J. Woah of Harbel, the three-day experience strengthened both his faith and relationship with God.

Woah said the first day taught him that experiencing the manifestation of God’s power requires prayer, studying the Word of God, worship and praise.

On the second day, he said participants were challenged to develop effective faith and understand that some things they depend on may need to be surrendered in order to experience a deeper encounter with God.

The final day focused on intercession – praying on behalf of families, communities, churches, and the nation.

Woah said the teachings convinced him that young Christians must become people of prayer and remain committed to standing in the gap for others.

“I learned a lot throughout this conference,” Woah said, expressing his hope to return for next year’s gathering.

A Call for Young People to Stand in the Gap

Apostle Dr. Simeon L. Dunbar, the spiritual father of Rainbow Global founder Promise Fernandez, used the conference to issue a strong call for young people to become intercessors for Liberia.

He challenged participants to pray for their families, communities, churches, and the nation, stressing the important role prayer can play in transforming society.

Addressing concerns over drug addiction among young people, Dunbar said committed intercessors within churches – including pastors, deacons and other leaders – could help provide spiritual and moral guidance and protection for the younger generation.

He urged young people not to remain spectators but to make themselves available for the work of God.

Dunbar also reminded participants that the young people sitting under his teaching could become tomorrow’s presidents, vice presidents, senators, representatives, ministers, directors and other national leaders.

He prayed over the participants and encouraged them to prepare for the responsibilities ahead while remaining committed to serving God and supporting their respective ministries.

Building a Generation of Purpose

Rainbow Global is a Christian organization established through what its founder describes as a revelation from God to help young people discover and fulfill their destinies.

Founded on January 28, 2018, by Bro. Promise Fernandez, the organization has continued to use its annual conference as a platform to inspire, teach, and spiritually empower young people.

Emmanuel Nagbe, Vice President of Rainbow Global, has also played an active role in supporting the organization’s work and ensuring the success of its activities.

The 2026 gathering marked the ninth edition of the Rainbow Global Conference.

As the final prayers were offered and participants departed the venue, the message of the three-day gathering remained clear: the next generation is being challenged not only to believe in God but to become a generation of prayer, purpose, service, and spiritual influence.

For many who attended, the conference may have ended—but the encounter, they believe, has only just begun.
