The ongoing exercise has attracted hundreds of beneficiaries, the majority of whom are young women, who are reporting to complete the mandatory orientation and verification process before being placed under the program.

Beneficiaries are presenting the required documents including valid identification, educational credentials and passport-size photographs, as part of the verification process.

The exercise is being led by a team from the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Maryland County headed by the County Coordinator, Reuben Freeman, who, along with his staff, is overseeing the smooth implementation of the program to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries complete the required procedures.

Meanwhile, the application process for the Ministry’s Small Scale Grant Program has also begun in the county.

Eligible young people are visiting the Ministry’s county office to obtain the application forms, which are being distributed free of charge.

The Small Scale Grant Program is intended to support young entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners by providing opportunities to access funding for small businesses and income-generating activities.

The simultaneous rollout of both the Vacation Job Program and the Small Scale Grant initiative reflects the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ ongoing commitment to creating employment opportunities, promoting entrepreneurship and empowering young people across Maryland County and Liberia as a whole.

The orientation and grant application processes are expected to continue in accordance with the Ministry’s implementation schedule.
