HARPER, Maryland County – The Independent Elections Committee (IEC) of Tubman University Students Government has officially announced the results of the 2026 Tubman University Student Government Association (TUSGA) elections, with candidates of the Students Unification Alliance (SUA) securing victory across all major positions.

The elections, held on April 30, 2026, were described by IEC Chairperson Abraham T. Toe as transparent and credible, reflecting the collective will of the student population.
Leading the new wave of leadership is Moulton B. Panyonnoh, who was elected President after polling 708 votes (65.74%). He is joined by Christopher Kumeh, who secured the Vice Presidency with 726 votes (69.65%).
In other key positions, Ferguson T. Howe won as General Secretary with 701 votes (66.63%), while Serena K. Jargbah was elected Financial Secretary with 678 votes (63.48%). The position of Student Representative Council (SRC) Chair went to Prince P. Nyannah, who obtained 704 votes (68.75%).
Oliver G. Somah and Monconja Harris were elected as Senior Status Representatives, while Moses B. Togba and Eric B. S. Julutoe secured the Junior Status Representative positions. In the Sophomore category, Cyrus D. Dennis and Augustine N. Nimely emerged as winners. For the Freshman Status Representatives, Otis Wesseh, Eastman K. Toe, and Uriah Blamo were elected to serve.
The outcome marks a decisive political shift on campus, as the Students Unification Alliance (SUA) takes full control of the student government, succeeding the outgoing leadership of the Tubman University Concerned Students Movement (TUSCM).
The Elections Committee commended students for their peaceful participation throughout the process. The newly elected officials are expected to assume office in the coming days, with commitments centered on improving student welfare, strengthening representation, and advancing development initiatives.
Meanwhile, all elected officials were officially certificated on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
With SUA now holding all major positions, attention is turning to how the new leadership will meet expectations and deliver on campaign promises amid growing calls for accountability and results from the student body.
