Held under the theme: “The ARTS in the ARREST – Invest in Liberia 2026,” the two-day forum signals a bold push to attract sustainable investment and deepen commercial ties between Liberia and the European bloc.
The event reflects a shared commitment to advancing Liberia’s economic transformation agenda through strategic partnerships and responsible investment.
The landmark gathering is expected to spotlight investment opportunities exceeding one billion euros across the priority sectors outlined in Liberia’s ARREST Agenda.
These include agriculture, forestry and fisheries, roads and energy infrastructure, trade, tourism and sanitation — sectors widely viewed as key drivers of inclusive growth, job creation, and long-term development.
Senior government officials from Liberia and the EU will join European and Liberian investors, private sector leaders, financial institutions, development partners, academia, business support organizations, and members of the Liberian diaspora.
The program will feature high-level plenary discussions, sector-specific panels, and structured networking sessions aimed at generating tangible investment partnerships.
The forum aligns with broader EU–Africa cooperation objectives and supports the European Union’s Global Gateway Strategy, which promotes sustainable and values-driven infrastructure and investment initiatives worldwide.
Organizers also emphasized the strategic importance of Liberia’s access to the EU market under the Everything But Arms (EBA) initiative.
The arrangement grants Liberia duty-free and quota-free access to the EU market for all exports except arms and ammunition, positioning the country as an attractive destination for export-oriented investors.
The EU–Liberia Business Forum forms part of Liberia’s broader economic diplomacy and investment promotion strategy, supported by the European Union.
Officials describe the event as a milestone in bilateral economic cooperation and a catalyst for enhanced private sector engagement.
