Liberia: New Year But Old System

The words Happy New Year are being yelled all over locally and globally. But the same old system is operational in Liberia and elsewhere. Some of us are calling for the new thing but are still doing the old thing. Then why do we say Happy New Year?

We continue to do the same is thing because to continue to so is in our interest to continue to do so. Even people in the religious community continue to say praise the Lord and Allah Uh Akbar but continue to worship the devil. They worship the devil because they are money-driven.

It is a money-driven experience that has led the people of Liberia to conclude that violence places Liberia in the wrong direction. But Liberia is being placed in the right direction through awareness raising within the Rule of Law rather than the rule of outlaw.

The people have gone through this experience of violence, as seen in the coup d’etat and civil war that took the lives of at least 300,000 people. not including the several thousands who got injured. Other countries went through a similar experience.

This experience is at once the only and best way to raise awareness for the election of persons with good records. When persons with good records get elected to bring in the system of Justice, the indispensable ingredient for Peace and Progress in Liberia and in any other country.
