The meeting focused on improving collaboration, addressing operational challenges, and developing strategies to strengthen healthcare services at the referral hospital.

During the visit, electricity was restored to the hospital after a period without power. Minister Morris confirmed that the restoration was the result of efforts by the Ministry of Health, led by Health Minister Dr. Louise Kpoto.

Discussions during the meeting covered infrastructure needs, staff welfare, and service delivery gaps. Morris stressed the need for teamwork, accountability, and effective resource management to improve healthcare delivery.

Department heads raised concerns about working conditions, staff morale, and development opportunities. The visit is part of the Ministry’s broader effort to support health institutions nationwide and ensure the delivery of essential services.
