Solomon Sesay scored a brace for Down Town FC. The victory means they will be paired against Kusa FC from Bong County in the quarterfinal, expected to take place on July 27, 2024, with the first leg taking place in Gbarnga City, Bong County, while the return leg will be played in Monrovia at the Tusa sports ground in Gardnerville.

Despite the win, Coach Jasper Kun called on his players to remain focused for the upcoming match against Kusa.

“I’m pleased to say thanks  to the players for the impressive display that earned them the win. I want you to admonish the players to remain steadfast and continue their intensive training for our away encounter against Kusa FC.” Coach Kun said.

He is confident that if his athletes maintain their ball possession and fast scoring methods, their aim of qualifying for the LFA second division league will come to reality.
