The gesture by the CEO fulfills his promise made to the team last October after the Warriors beat Pags FC 2-0 in an exciting league encounter at the ATS.
Presenting the boots on Friday, February 9, 2023, at the club’s ATS training ground, Mark Jadoe, who spoke on behalf of Mr. Walker, said the CEO also remains committed to his pledge of US$10,000 to Black Man Warriors. However, that can only be obtained if the club wins the league. The USA veteran Chairman said CEO Walker also encouraged the team to do their best and be very serious, especially with their education, noting that there is life after football. Jadoe also pledged his loyalty to the team by becoming its member within due time.
For his part, Club President G Nelson Meanyeah thanked Mr. Walker for the boots and praised the CEO for being a man of his word. Meanyeah and officials of the club were excited about the donation, saying that it came at a time when the club most needed it. Currently, BMW is a serious contender for the title and sits in fourth place with 36 points, two points behind the league leaders Gardnerville FC. The Warriors, who just returned from Europe for a tour, have three outstanding games. If they can secure maximum points from these, they will go top of the table.
