Liberia Senior National Football Team, the Lone Star’s defeat in Ghana on Tuesday in an International friendly has been received with mixed reactions particularly the description given the team by a Ghanaian football commentator.

In his commentary of the match Tuesday, the unidentified Ghanaian commentator said “this Liberian team look like a division two team in Ghana”.
Several Liberian football stakeholders frowned at the description given the Lone Star by the Ghanaian football commentator.
LFA 2nd Vice President Adolphus Dolo reacting to the commentary described the commentator’s statement as offensive and disrespectful to Liberia.
Mr. Dolo said a proper representation will be made to the Ghanaian football authorities.
Speaking when the LFA to stakeholders Wednesday, the LFA Vice President said if Liberia was that bad, the Ghanaian team should have won by a wider scoeline.
“The game of football states that you should respect your opponents” Dolo added.
He said the LFA is not against critics, but those stakeholders critiquing the football house should advance suggestions for the improvement of the game in the country.
There are other football stakeholders who have frowned at the statement, describing the Ghanaian Journalist as unprofessional.
‘’We should not be discouraged that our team went to Ghana and performed miserably but I must be on record for this. The commentator who tried to ridicule Liberia yesterday, we find his remark very offensive and we’ll make a proper representation.
‘’The game of football says we should respect our opponents.
Whatever our performance was yesterday, the adjective used to describe our team was very disrespectful,’’ Dolo concluded
