In his role, Russell will spearhead the organization’s mission to support metro cities and counties in maximizing new state and federal funding to achieve local climate goals while fostering equitable, resilient communities.
With decades of experience, including serving as a former Brooklyn Park City Council Member and Founder & Director of Health Equity at African Career, Education & Resources, Inc. Together, they will leverage new state and federal funds to implement initiatives such as tree planting, home weatherization, and the development of walkable communities with accessible transit and bike lanes.
“I am honored to take on the role of RCC Board President and look forward to working alongside our dedicated team and partners to create more resilient, equitable communities,” said Wynfred Russell. “By harnessing the power of collaboration and innovation, we can address climate challenges while advancing social justice.”
