The Editor,
I guess many people didn’t read my first comment when the story was first reported that Minister Dahn was in it for herself and is endorsing the French official and here it is again:
“Minister Dahn is looking out for her own interest and literally says to hell with everybody else; let alone African Union or even President Sirleaf. Such is the human nature: I, me, and myself only.”
So what happens to Minister Dahn after literally stepping on the toes of President Sirleaf and and going Liberia and the African Union’s choice for the WHO job?
Nothing, because she is a woman, she is from vote rich Nimba and Ellen don’t want to alienate women and Nimba voters. Therefore, Dr. Bernice Dahn, Minister of Health and Social Welfare keeps her job.
Will she now support wholeheartedly the choice of the African Union? Unless she doesn’t want to keep her job. Does she truly then support the French guy and herself as his Deputy?
Whatever became of integrity, self-pride as opposed to compromising same for a job? You then become a laughing stock of your peers, an empty vessel carrying the kenja for someone: for Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
