Dear President JNB,
As a concerned citizen of Liberia committed to fostering life, peace, and unity for the betterment of our nation, I write to bring several significant issues to your attention.
Firstly, the alleged denial of former President Weah’s access to the airport VIP lounge, a facility he played a role in building, is deeply troubling. This denial not only dishonors his past service but also undermines the principles of equality and inclusivity in Liberia.
Secondly, there are troubling allegations of discrimination against individuals at various embassies based on their party affiliations. It is imperative to address these claims promptly and ensure that all citizens have equal opportunities to serve their country without fear or intimidation, especially considering Liberia’s history of division stemming from the civil war.
Additionally, reports allege that certain qualified appointees selected by you are facing opposition from certain upnist groups solely because they did not support your candidacy. It is essential to recognize that qualified individuals are vital for Liberia’s progress, and every competent Liberian deserves a fair chance to serve their country.
Discrimination based on political affiliations sets a dangerous precedent and exacerbates divisions within our nation. Thorough investigations into these allegations are necessary to hold those responsible accountable and prevent similar injustices in the future.
We cannot afford to perpetuate the divisive “us versus them” mentality, as it threatens Liberia’s stability of our nation.
Decisive action is needed by you to address theses issues that has the potential to undermine your government.
Ultimately, as the leader, the responsibility for the direction of the country rests with you.
Lastly, it is crucial for you to stand firm in your decisions as a leader. If individuals have been appointed based on their competence, qualifications, and experience, it is essential that you support and defend those appointments to ensure their confirmation and contribution to Liberia’s progress.
Sincerely,
Courage B Sundberg
A concerned citizen
