Addressing his colleagues at the 1st sitting of the Liberian Senate Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Senator Kpehe said during the campaign period he noticed that several Towns and villages do not have access to good road network.
According to the Bong County Senator, due to the deplorable conditions of roads in the County, pregnant women and sick patients are on many occasions transported to various health centers in locally made hammocks, while famers’ produces get spoil on the daily basis without benefits.
He pointed out that the construction and rehabilitation of feeder roads across the Country will also help boost the agriculture sector of Liberia, as well as improve infrastructural development.
In his deliberation, Hon. Johnny K. Kpehe also highlighted the lack of government’s paid teachers and essential drugs in public grade Schools and health facilities, with a call to his colleagues to look in said direction by ensuring that qualified volunteer teachers are placed on government payroll and the annual budget for Health is increased.
Speaking further, Senator Kpehe stressed the need for improved mobile network in hard to reach areas.
Meanwhile, Senator Kpehe has vowed to work with the rest of the Senators in making Liberia a better nation.
