APM Terminals Liberia has again showcased its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility by donating essential supplies and food items to three groups of disadvantaged individuals with disabilities. The distribution which took place on November 13, 2023, was made possible by our team of volunteers.
The beneficiaries of this generous donation are the Disabled Rights Association of Liberia, represented by Peter Kanneo, the Executive Director of the organization, the Antoinette Tubman Chesire Home and the Group of 77 Disabled Center. Peter Kanneo quoted; On behalf of the Disable Rights Association, I want to assure you that these items will be used for the intended purpose. All members here will receive a share of these gifts you have brought to us. Thank you and we look forward to working with you. It is worth noting that the last two mentioned organizations have previously benefited from APM Terminals Liberia’s Go Green CSR Program, where they received fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from local farmers in rural parts of Liberia.
This recent initiative marks the first time that APM Terminals Liberia has extended its support to the Disabled Rights Association of Liberia. The program was implemented as part of APM Terminals Liberia’s broader CSR efforts and its strong desire to give back to the communities in which it operates. By providing much-needed resources to these disadvantaged groups, APM Terminals Liberia is making a tangible difference in the lives of those who face various challenges due to disabilities.
Such acts of corporate social responsibility not only benefit the recipients but also serve as an inspiration for other companies to contribute to the betterment of society. APM Terminals Liberia sets an admirable example by actively engaging in initiatives that uplift and support disadvantaged groups.
Together, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate society.
