MONROVIA — Women of electoral district 13 in Montserrado County have given a flower to Mr. Solomon Cheapoo Sr. in appreciation of his tireless effort in helping their community to escape poverty
The Ex- US army officer was also Gowned and decorated in traditional fashion as a symbol of encouragement to continue his humanitarian activities which they claimed is positively impacting the lives of struggling mothers and widows in the area.
Mr. Cheapoo an acclaimed lawyer who has devoted his life to charity resigned two years ago from the army to establish an office in Monrovia to coordinate humanitarian intervention in Liberia.
Operating under the code name 91 Bravo, Solomon humanitarian activities is concentrated mainly in District 13, the home of his birth.
He began his activities to resurrect the area from poverty at the height of the corona virus disease when the entire country was under lock down by delivering nose mask and creating awareness in the communities about the impact of the disease.
When the threat of corona relaxed Bravo 91 turned to community service which witnesses the building of bridges and covert to enhance free movement of people in the slum community.
The foundation is at the moment helping to strengthen the District 13 capacity in the areas of safe drinking water, electricity and health care delivery.
Although the process is at its early stages all machines and equipment needed for the operation including ambulances, dump trucks and generators are at hand.
At the colorful ceremony, the spokesperson of the women group recalled the positive impact 91 Bravo operations is making in their community. Stressing further that the women are under obligation to appreciate the humanitarian.
Madam Everlyn Sackor emphasize that women of District 13 will remain to be grateful to the CEO of 91 Bravo Solomon Cheapoo Sr. for the love he has shown to their community.
Responding to the gestures, Mr. Cheapoo flanked by his wife said he is touched by the surprise honor and assured the women of his readiness to seek district 13 interest at all time.
Mr. Cheapoo disclosed that he is surprise by the honor because he never realize that beneficiaries of his community Programme were closely monitoring his activities.
He said the honor will go a long way in setting the basis for speedy recoveries in Montserrado County most backward district, saying the women made no mistake in nominating him for the prestigious award.
