Monrovia-The guest speaker at the sixteenth commencement convocation of the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU), the Rt. Rev. David R. Daniels, Jr., presiding Prelate 15th Episcopal District, AME Church has told graduates of the AME University that there is no limit to success and therefore as they walk from the walls of the University, they should not limit their expectations but rather continue the journey of success.
“Success is a journey but not a destination, you have come a long way from twelve years of your primary school and it prepared you for the last four years for college work”, he said.
Speaking Wednesday at the Winners Chapel Church in Congo Town, Monrovia where the graduation ceremony was held, the Rt. Rev. Daniels said: “each of you have done absolutely well and you deserve all the praises from us. Yes, you have come a long way; we all salute you, for you have done well. It contains an uphill battle, some tremendous scarifies but you made it, the fact that you made it tells me that you are ready for this journey called success”.
The religious prelate added: “I know it was not easy for many of you and I know what many of you have been going through. You have to study on candles light when there was no public electricity. I know that many of you have to make some unnecessary trips to offices, homes and work places for those who promised to assist you with your fees but made you to run around in vain”.
The Rt. Rev. Daniels further told the graduates that their achievements is an indication that they are going for greatness adding that they should not allow anyone or any institution to define who they are or what they can do or cannot do.
“Never allow them to determine how high you go in life, there is no limitation in success, success is a journey”, the Rt. Rev. Daniels noted.
The AME University graduated one hundred and thirty-four students with gender balance -fifty percent male and fifty percent female. Six of the graduates received an internship at the Coca-Cola Company in Liberia.
