Monrovia – The Liberian National Police has arrested the ring leader in the February 10, 2016 armed robbery incident in Harbel, Margibi County, in which Police Chief Superintendent Susana Blackie and her 15 years old daughter were shot.
The armed robbery incident resulted to the bursting of the right eye of the daughter of Chief Superintendent Blackie who herself sustained multiple bullet wounds.
Armed robbery suspect Lawrence Logan who has been on the run since the incident, was arrested by officers of the Emergency Response Unit, and the Police Support Unit after receiving a tip off from community dwellers in which the incident occurred.
According to an LNP release, suspect Logan who has been transferred to the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police has admitted to his involvement in the armed robbery attack against Police Chief Superintendent Blackie, who is currently recovering from wounds sustained from the attacked.
Police in last February arrested Ernest Quahgar in connection to the armed robbery incident and has since forwarded him to court for prosecution.
The Liberia National Police says it will continue to step up search for wanted armed robbers and other criminals in the Liberian society and called on community dwellers to continue furnishing the Police with the needed information that will lead to their arrest and subsequent prosecution.
