
MONROVIA – A faith-based institution Word of Life International (WOLI) has ended an intensive medical check-up for over thirty-five (35) aging people within Paynesville.
The elderly people were procedure through basic medical examinations including obesity screening, Hypertension or high blood pressure, and Malaria.
Speaking at the church compound in Paynesville, the program focal person Rebecca Nyamndo explained that WOLI is concerned about the well-being of the elderly and that there is a need for more attention to be directed to them instead of society looking down on aging people.
“We aim to see how older people from 60 years and above can be taken care of so they cannot be discriminated against,” she said.

Madam Nyamndo disclosed that the institution has embarked upon this initiative since 2021 through several activities including feeding, and clothing to assist with their livelihood.
According to her, following the exercise they will work with partners to provide the rightful medication and treatment for the older people most of whom are sixty and above.
“We are working with the nurses for the data collection that would be used to share with our partners who will be willing to provide medical aid,” Nyanmdo noted.
Peter Momo a 70-year-old beneficiary of the program thanked the founder Dr. Rev. Sam Ndorleh for his continued support towards the elderly and prayed that the blessings of God continue to guide as to keep up with the program.
Another beneficiary 61 years 61-year-old Deddeh Vanwen called on the government to partner with the Word of Life International to assist the needy that can no longer fetch for themselves.
“I am happy and thank God, let the church owner let God be with him and his family so he can be helping us because we don’t have anything,” Pa Momo said.
