From the day the United Nation Security Council passed resolution 2239 of September 2015 calling for the drawdown of United Nations Mission in Liberia by 30 June 2016 at which time the government of Liberia will take full charge and responsibilities of national security, many Liberians because of several reasons bordering on internal or national security that threatens our post conflict peace and stability continued to express legitimate concerns and fears.
One of the fundamental facets or facts associated with the concept of leadership ever postulated or advanced by Manfred Kets de Vries is the above caption “Leaders are surrounded by liars” This quotation because of its applicability throughout all ages has so much caught my attention for which I want to expand my opinion or understanding of this quotation so as to enlighten those of you in leadership.

Abidjan – TRANSCO CLSG is making a strong push to consolidate electricity amongst four West African nations – Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea by 2018. Heads of State of the Economic Community of West African States met a decade ago and agreed to develop a regional electricity market. The plan is making inroads, according to Etienne Bailly, project director at Transco CLSG. “What we are anticipating is that by June of this year we will have the contractors on board and by 2018 we will commission the line.”
Monrovia – Barrack Young Controllers II (BYC II) beat Kawkab Athletic Club of Marrakech 2-0 on Sunday in a second leg first round 2016 CAF Confederation Cup match but lost 3-2 on aggregate. Notwithstanding, the Executive Mansion came up with a strong worded rebutter in rubbishing the Gbapolu Senate statement indicating that he didn’t read the Accra comprehensive peace accord well and as such was speaking outside of the accord!
